Senior Software Engineer – Permanent  Position– HIRING ASAP

Location: Hybrid, Bratislava 
Start Date: Middle to end of November

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team, taking ownership of the development, architecture and ongoing improvement of a proprietary Commercial Data Manager platform.

The platform acts as a critical integration layer between internal services and HubSpot, supporting commercial operations across the wider technology ecosystem.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining backend software engineering, solution architecture and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with Engineering, Product and Commercial teams to define technical requirements, shape solutions and deliver scalable, high-quality software.

The role will involve approximately 70% core software engineering and 30% HubSpot-related development and integration.

Responsibilities
 
  • Lead the design, development and maintenance of backend services and applications using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Take technical ownership of the Commercial Data Manager platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability and ongoing development.
  • Design and implement new features, integrations and enhancements across internal systems and HubSpot.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product and Commercial stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions, identify dependencies and drive architectural decisions across multiple teams.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Agentic AI solutions, identifying opportunities to enhance existing systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with HubSpot teams to review platform capabilities, integrations and architectural alignment with the wider technology ecosystem.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to other engineers, promoting engineering best practices.
  • Support CI/CD processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Champion high standards of software quality, maintainability, performance and security.


Essential Skills & Experience
 
  • Strong commercial experience developing backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proven hands-on experience working with Agentic AI, including the development or integration of AI agents and autonomous workflows.
  • Demonstrable experience in technical leadership capacity, driving engineering decisions and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong software architecture and system design experience, including designing scalable applications and integrations.
  • Experience working with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of HubSpot, its capabilities and its role within a wider technology ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to mentor, support and develop other engineers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Ability to take ownership of technical challenges, evaluate different approaches and deliver pragmatic, maintainable solutions.

Desirable Skills
 
  • Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architecture or streaming technologies.
  • Experience integrating CRM platforms with internal applications and services.
  • Previous experience within the Gaming, iGaming or Affiliate Marketing industries.
