SAP Security & GRC Senior Platform Manager

About the company
Our client is a global consumer goods leader.  They are midway through a major SAP transformation onto RISE with SAP and S/4HANA, and they need a senior SAP Security and GRC leader to keep that landscape secure, compliant and audit-ready.

The role
This is a senior individual contributor position. You will set strategy and run day-to-day operations for SAP Security and GRC across S/4HANA, BTP, Fiori, EWM, BW, ECC and the systems connected to them.

The role is not purely technical. You will connect IT Security, Internal Controls and Internal Audit, and explain technical security configuration in terms of risk, compliance and business assurance. You will need deep hands-on SAP security expertise, plus the presence and influence to lead complex transformation work across functions.

What you’ll do

  • Role design and governance: Own the SAP role design standard, including the role catalogue, the authorization concept, SoD frameworks, mitigation controls and access request workflows, all kept aligned with clean core principles.
  • Transformation delivery: Lead security workstreams on greenfield and brownfield S/4HANA programmes, from blueprint and design workshops through build, testing, cutover and hypercare.
  • GRC operations: Take full accountability for SAP GRC Access Control (ARM, BRM, EAM/Firefighter), periodic access reviews, SoD conflict analysis and continuous controls monitoring.
  • Audit and compliance: Own SOX, internal audit and external audit readiness for the SAP landscape. This covers ITGCs, application controls, evidence management, role-to-risk mappings and remediation roadmaps through to closure.
  • Partner governance: Hold Systems Integrators and vendors accountable for the quality and compliance of their security deliverables before anything reaches production.
  • Architecture and go-live: Work with SAP Technical leadership and Solution Architects to define secure solution patterns for RISE, and lead security through go-lives, cutovers and system refreshes.

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive hands-on SAP Security experience across S/4HANA, Fiori and BTP, ideally in a RISE with SAP environment
  • Strong SAP GRC Access Control expertise, covering SoD, emergency access and access reviews
  • A track record of leading security workstreams on large S/4HANA implementations
  • Solid SOX, ITGC and audit experience, including working directly with Internal and External Audit
  • Experience managing SI and third-party partners
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in both IT and the business
  • Commercial awareness and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
