Java Developer – Contract Position– HIRING ASAP

Location: Galway – 1 week per month in office
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12-month contract with extension
Daily Rate: €500 per day

Requirements
  • 10+ years software engineering experience
  • Excellent Java skills are a must
  • AWS & Azure skills an advantage
  • Very good understanding of design patterns.
  • You work independently on complex technical and functional analysis.
  • You take ownership of aspects of project or code base
  • You contribute to an environment of continuous improvement
  • You support test driven development and automation initiatives
  • You follow Fidelity standard processes and methodologies for developing high-quality secure code
  • You are experienced with Agile techniques and Jira
  • You possess strong attention to detail demonstrated by ability to follow and develop specific, outlined and detailed procedures
  • You can work multiple tasks simultaneously and can prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Interpersonal skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with teammates.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment across multiple locations and functions
  • You adhere to development standards and coding best practices for team
  • You share knowledge with other team members.
Responsibilities
  • Strong sense of ownership for the quality of solution delivery and execution
  • Actively participates in all phases of Development Life Cycle /Agile Project including design, development, and testing.
  • Understands Business Objectives in the context of the team’s work
  • Contributes to architecture and technical designs and ensure designs are aligned with architectural standards
  • Communicates project status, identify issues/ risks proactively, and escalate effectively.
  • Follows Fidelity standard processes and methodologies for developing high-quality secure code
  • Analysing current processes and propose recommendations for process improvements
