Rate: Up to €400 per day
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality software solutions, including microservices and user interfaces within a complex enterprise environment. The role is primarily backend-focused, with an emphasis on Java and Spring Boot development. You will contribute to scalable applications, collaborate within an Agile environment and help deliver reliable, business-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
- Build RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain database solutions using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Contribute to automated testing and software quality.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver incremental business value.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and manage multiple priorities.
- Contribute to front-end development where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 6–9 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful services.
- Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with Maven, Jenkins and modern development practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
Desirable:
- Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
- Automated testing tools such as Karate, Playwright or similar.
- Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes or Kafka.
- Experience in financial services, investment management or other complex enterprise platforms.
