We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join an exciting long-term engagement in Galway. This role offers the chance to work on delivering web applications and new features for high-profile clients within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- 5 years of Software Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong background in UI automation (Selenium; exposure to Playwright is a plus).
- Experience with API automation (e.g. RestAssured).
- Comfort writing and executing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber BDD.
- Ability to read Java code as it relates to automation (bonus if interested in contributing to development).
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automated deployment tools.

The Purpose of Your Role
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests including unit, functional, and regression tests.
- Contribute to QA automation strategy for client-facing applications.
- Support the team in building scalable, maintainable, and testable software.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve test coverage, release velocity, and system reliability.
- Review application and test code within the Scrum team.
