You will lead the design and operation of Azure-based infrastructure that moves terabytes of data every day, scales to support billions of records, and keeps systems reliable. You will extend immutable infrastructure, drive performance improvements, and work closely with internal teams to implement ingestion workflows efficiently.
What you’ll do
- Architect, optimize, and configure Azure data pipelines handling billions of rows
- Design and maintain network infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency traffic
- Extend and improve immutable infrastructure in Azure to ensure consistency and minimal drift
- Automate deployments using Terraform, ARM templates with Bicep, Puppet, or Ansible
- Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business requirements into scalable, performant solutions
- Monitor and tune performance, manage memory and sequencing arcs, and troubleshoot production issues
- Work with Kubernetes and containerized environments to build resilient, self-healing systems
Skills you’ll bring
- Azure Architect certification
- Strong background in technical research
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Swisscom cloud
- Terraform for modern infrastructure and performance engineering
- Python for automation and orchestration
- ARM templates with Bicep, Puppet, or Ansible
- Awareness and practical experience with Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of memory management, sequencing arcs, and platform performance
