We’re currently looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing consulting and engineering team delivering data-driven solutions for clients across Switzerland.
If you enjoy designing robust data architectures, working with large-scale datasets, and enabling advanced analytics and machine learning, this is a great opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects.
 
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architectures (cloud and on-premise)
  • Integrate, transform, and manage data from diverse sources in a reliable and reproducible way
  • Build, test, and monitor distributed data processing systems
  • Collaborate with data scientists to enable machine learning use cases
  • Optimise performance and cost of data platforms and pipelines
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights effectively
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Contribute to best practices in data engineering and support knowledge sharing within the team
 
Tech stack
You will work with modern data technologies including:
Python • SQL • Apache Spark • Hadoop • Hive • Airflow
RDBMS • NoSQL databases • Distributed systems
AWS • Azure • Google Cloud Platform
Kubernetes • DevOps practices • Java / .NET (nice to have)
 
What we’re looking for
  • 5 years experience in Data Engineering or similar technical roles
  • Strong experience with Python, SQL, and data pipeline development
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable data architectures
  • Experience working with Big Data technologies and cloud platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, solution-oriented mindset
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Nice to have
  • Experience with machine learning workflows and data science collaboration
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and containerisation (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Consulting or client-facing experience
Languages
German and English – both required (B2–C1 level)
