Senior Software Engineer - AI Automation Platform - Belfast/Hybrid

We're partnered with an AI Powered Fintech who are moving into the first stage of a large scale expansion over the next 6 months. They will have a number of different AI focused roles going live but to start we're focused on finding a number of Senior Software Engineers focusing on API architecture and design.

The team is currently focused on developing a platform designed to accelerate AI and generative AI initiatives across the organisation. This is the core team who are leading the build and implementation efforts.

You’ll architect and own the API layer that powers product integrations, platform scalability, and smart AI features across multiple mission-critical systems.

What you’ll do:
- Design and build secure, scalable APIs in C#/.NET Azure
- Shape API standards, gateway strategy, versioning & authentication
- Lead API performance, reliability, and observability improvements
- Mentor engineers and influence architecture across multiple teams
What you bring:
- Deep C#/.NET experience in production systems
- Strong REST API design
- SQL expertise cloud experience with Azure services
- OpenAPI would be a plus
- Ownership across the lifecycle — design → build → deploy → run
