Product Business Analyst – HIRING ASAP – Outside IR35

Summary
 
Our client is hiring a Product Business Analyst, who thrives on bringing clarity to chaos in one of their core commercial platform teams.
 
You will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Commercial Ops, ensuring that decisions are data-driven, requirements are watertight, and delivery runs like a well-oiled machine.

What you'll do:

  • Analyse business problems and opportunities to drive clarity and impact.
  • Translate business goals into structured, actionable requirements.
  • Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Commercial functions.
  • Support the Product Manager in discovery, backlog refinement, and sprint readiness.
  • Bring structure, focus, and follow-through where ambiguity reigns.
Responsibilities:
  • Break down complex business problems into clear, structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate discovery and refinement sessions with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain process maps, data flows, and documentation to support understanding and traceability.
  • Support backlog management, grooming, and prioritisation alongside Product Managers
  • Validate requirements through stakeholder input, data, and impact analysis.
  • Bridge communication between business and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding.
  • Challenge assumptions and surface dependencies early.
  • Support test case validation and acceptance alongside QA and Dev
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of BA and Product practices.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analystor Product BA within tech, SaaS, or digital product teams
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Deep familiarity with Agile and Scrum frameworks
  • Proficiency in Jira, and visual tools (Miro, Notion, Aha etc.)
  • Experience with backlog management, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous problem spaces and finding the signal in the noise.
  • Analytical mindset:You don’t just gather requirements, you interrogate them.
  • Diplomatic communicator:You keep conversations productive, even when stakeholders clash.
  • Structured thinker:You bring calm and order to fast-moving projects.
  • Collaborative partner:You’re as comfortable with engineers as you are with execs.

Nice to have:
  • Background in commercial platforms or integration-heavy environments
  • Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven requirements.
