Business & Data Analyst (Power BI) – Contract Position - HIRING ASAP

Rate: €450 - €550 per day

Summary

Our client has built a data platform based on Microsoft Fabric technology and delivered its MVP in production. They now aim to generalise its usage across the organization to serve BI and analytical use cases and to enable self-BI at large. Opening the platform to a broader adoption requires supporting business teams in their journey to consume existing reports, request and define new reporting needs, and progressively build their own analytics assets under a self-service BI approach.

This assignment aims to:
  • Enhance business teams’ ability to define high-quality data and reporting requirements.
  • Increase user adoption of the Fabric platform and self-service BI capabilities.
  • Improve understanding of the bank’s data models and how to use them effectively.
  • Ensure analytics use cases in finance and risk domains are well supported.
  • Establish repeatable and scalable approaches to demand management and BI development.
  • Strengthen data governance and standardisation practices across departments.
Responsibilities
  • Help business teams articulate and formalise their data and reporting requirements.
  • Support business teams in understanding and using data models made available on the data platform in collaboration with data architects.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in finance and risk domains to ensure data analysis requirements are well understood by IT professionals and well translated in the shape of data models.
  • Facilitate the controlled expansion of datasets and analytical domains using sound, well documented data models. Help build data dictionaries and catalogues.
  • Help accomplish change management and user adoption topics while promoting the use of the data platform for the organization help migrate legacy excel files to power BI, help connect legacy excel files to data sources available in Fabric, etc.
  • This assignment aims to support the organisation in scaling usage of the data platform, fostering a data-driven culture, and enabling sustainable self-service BI across the bank.
Key Skills
  • Techno-functional profile: Master’s degree (Bac 5) in computer science (engineering school or university), followed by 5–8 years’ experience as a business or data analyst.
  • Organised, independent, service-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, autonomous, able to learn independently and work in a team.
  • Speaking and writing in both English and French is a must.
