• Job Title: IT Category Manager
  • Pay Rates: €450 – €525 per day
  • Hybrid: Working in Dublin Office (at least 2 visits per week to office)
  • Duration: Initial 3 months

Your Role
  • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for IT procurement, focus area will be, engineering software and IT services
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for complex IT categories with significant organizational impact
  • Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, and internal requirements to identify optimization opportunities
  • Negotiate and manage enterprise agreements with key technology vendors and service providers
  • Partner with IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly
  • Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and value creation across the IT category
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure contractual compliance and value realisation
  • Implement innovative procurement approaches that leverage emerging technologies and methodologies
  • Provide category expertise and guidance to procurement teams and business stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional teams in complex sourcing projects and digital transformation initiatives

Your Background
  • 8 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years specializing in IT category management, experience in Professional Services category would be desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, cloud services, and emerging technologies
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide technology agreements and complex vendor relationships

  • Understanding of IT & Professional Services engagement models, rate structures, and delivery methodologies
  • Track record of successfully managing consulting firms, system integrators, and other IT & professional service providers
  • Experience with statement of work (SOW) development, negotiation, and management
  • Knowledge of resource augmentation models and contingent workforce management
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and value improvements
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency with procurement systems and data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred
