Rate: £700 - £748 per day outside IR35
Key Skills
- Experience in a SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) environment This could include commercial shipping, government agencies (e.g. Maritime and coastguard agency) or an adjacent area.
- Familiarity with hydrography and navigational charts Ideally S-100 but S-57 at a minimum.
- Cloud & Legacy Migration Successfully contributed to the migration of critical legacy systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant legacy language (e.g., Java, C#, or .NET 8.0) or database system (e.g., Oracle or SQL Server).
- Experience with web application development using frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, or Blazor Server.
- BPSS Clearance Required
- Experience with GIS systems and geospatial data formats like GeoJSON or MBTiles.
- Familiarity with hydrographic and navigational charts
- Experience with chart compilation tools or GIS platforms used for hydrographic data processing.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
- Experience designing and documenting APIs using RESTful API Design Guidelines and Swagger/OpenAPI
- Knowledge of NCSC principles and working to Secure by Design standards.
