The Role
You’ll be the CTO’s right hand 🤝, building the core backend that makes our platform hum. From designing scalable Python services 🐍 to crafting the algorithms that power real-time trading and compliance, you’ll be working on systems that actually move markets (and make them more tax-efficient 💼).
This isn’t a “keep the lights on” role—it’s greenfield, high-impact engineering with the freedom to make big calls and own them end-to-end.
What You’ll Do
- 🛠 Architect and build Python services for real-time, tax-aware trading workflows
- 📊 Design algorithms for tax-loss harvesting, gain/loss timing, and compliance magic
- ⚡ Build ultra-low-latency systems that handle concurrency & multithreading with ease
- 🌐 Develop APIs and backend services with FastAPI for speed and scalability
- ☁ Deploy and run production workloads on Azure (you build it, you run it)
- 🤓 Collaborate with portfolio and quant teams to turn financial strategies into blazing-fast code
- ⚙ Take ownership of architecture, CI/CD, observability, and performance tuning
- 🌱 Help define our engineering culture from the ground up
- 💪 6–8 years of Python in production—building systems that scale and perform
- 🌐 Strong backend experience with distributed architectures & API design (FastAPI preferred)
- 🌀 Solid grasp of multithreading, concurrency, and designing for low latency
- ☁ Hands-on experience with Azure (bonus for Azure Functions, Event Hubs, or Cosmos DB)
- 📈 Strong data modeling skills and a nose for optimization
- ❤️ A “you build it, you run it” mindset—owning your code from design through production support
