They are a high-growth digital health startup (Series B, tens of thousands of users, nationwide footprint) is looking for a Founding Data Analytics Engineer to define and own their data strategy from the ground up.
If you’ve ever wanted to build the data function from scratch, make critical decisions that shape company direction, and do it all as a hands-on contributor—this is your shot.
🧠 What you’ll do:
- Design and own their analytics function end-to-end—strategy, systems, dashboards, pipelines, and everything in between.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders, engineers, and business leaders to drive high-impact, data-informed decisions.
- Build and maintain their core data products while enabling company-wide data literacy and access.
- Set the standard for data quality, reliability, and governance from day one.
- Founding-level ownership: You’re the first dedicated data hire and will architect their entire approach.
- Zero red tape: they move fast, value autonomy, and empower every team member to lead.
- Massive mission: They are tackling one of America’s biggest health problems—and data is central to our solution.
- 7 years in data analytics or engineering, with deep experience in SQL, Python, DBT, and modern BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Tableau).
- You’ve taken projects from idea to impact and love explaining the “why” behind every metric.
- A strategic thinker and clear communicator—comfortable diving deep and zooming out.
- Bonus if you've worked in early-stage environments or built data teams before.
- $180–$220K base salary
