Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35)
Rate: £430 – £500 per day
Location: Hybrid – 1–2 days per week on-site at Bidborough House
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes) to join our team on a contract basis. This role will focus on implementing infrastructure as code pipelines to support the deployment of research applications and services on private cloud infrastructure, including Virtual Machines and Kubernetes. You will collaborate closely with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and resources are optimised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Deploy and maintain applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience deploying applications using Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and IaC practices.
- Experience working within a Higher Education setting.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with public and private cloud environments.
