We've got a brand new role with one of our Dublin city centre based FinTech clients as they look for a new senior engineer to lead their Database engineering team.
They are looking for someone to build out the technical road-map for their database platforms as well as leading teams both locally and across multiple other office locations.
As well as being a critical escalation point for technical database issues, you'll also need to have a strong track record in cross functional collaboration to ensure solutions and road-maps are implemented.
Desired technical skills:
- At least 5 years industry experience with the most recent 1-2 in a technical/team leadership role
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience in 24x7x365 mission critical environments - doesn't need to be FinTech but would be a plus
- Experience in T-SQL
- Strong familiarity with cloud-based databases like Amazon RDS and Azure SQL would be a big bonus
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
The role is ideally hybrid in Dublin CC but can be fully remote for the right person as long as you are based on the island of Ireland.
