**Data Consultant - Contract – 6 Months (extension likely), start ASAP
Location: 100% Remote with weekly travel across Switzerland (Must already be located in Switzerland)
Overview
Our client are embarking on a major data transformation journey and are seeking a Data Consultant to design and implement a federated data platform across their Pharma division. This is a strategic and highly visible role that bridges data architecture, governance, and business strategy, suited to someone who can command a room of senior stakeholders and define the data vision from the ground up.
You will be advising on how to build future ready, scalable data foundations that enable innovation and AI adoption across complex global environments.
What You Will Do
Define and deliver the data platform strategy and reference architecture for Pharma clients
Lead workshops with business leaders and C Suite stakeholders to shape data transformation roadmaps
Advise on federated architecture, interoperability, and data governance principles
Partner with engineering and cloud teams to translate strategy into technical delivery
Build frameworks for data integration, analytics enablement, and platform scalability
Provide hands on guidance across architecture, tooling, and vendor selection including cloud, storage, and data pipelines
Promote modern data practices across the organisation from metadata management to AI readiness
Who You Are
Proven background in data strategy, architecture, or consulting from a leading tech or consulting environment such as Google, Deloitte, AWS, or Accenture
Deep understanding of cloud based data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and federated data models
Experience building or advising on enterprise scale data foundations across global regulated industries
Exceptional communicator who can influence executive level stakeholders and simplify complex topics
Strong technical grounding combined with a strategic mindset
Previous Pharma experience is helpful but not required – we are looking for someone from a future ready, data heavy, forward thinking business
