Are you a commercially sharp negotiator who thrives on shaping high-value deals and influencing outcomes at the highest level? We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial direction on priority public sector opportunities – from initial deal shaping, negotiations, and governance, right through to contract signature. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in securing multi-million-pound opportunities that transform services for millions of people.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the commercial strategy for complex and high-profile deals.
- Working closely with sales and bid teams to develop profitable, deliverable proposals.
- Leading client-facing negotiations and competitive dialogue with public sector organisations.
- Driving commercial oversight of pricing, risk, and governance to ensure every deal is robust and successful.
- Building trust and influence with stakeholders at all levels – from bid teams and directors to client procurement leads.
- Ensuring contracts are watertight, well-structured, and aligned to business objectives.
What we’re looking for:
- A seasoned commercial leader with a proven track record in winning, negotiating, and managing major contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of public sector bids and complex contractual models.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pricing, financial modelling, and risk management.
- A confident and persuasive communicator, able to challenge, influence and inspire across senior teams.
- Resilient, creative, and able to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ideally degree-qualified, with professional accreditation (ICAEW, ACCA, Legal, WorldCC, ICM, MCIPS or similar).
