Business Analyst (Intermediate – Senior)

- Location: Hybrid 2 days in Dublin
- Rate: €400- €530 per day
Role Description
- Interacting with business stakeholders and subject matter experts from a range of Divisions across Revenue to understand and document the current “As Is” VAT business processes including registration, customer service, compliance, risk, and debt collection.
- Identifying inefficiencies, opportunities for improvement and potential “To Be” processes and solutions.
- Conducting various workshops with VAT experts to gain understanding of current processes.
- Identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems using MOSCOW techniques.
- Guiding experienced resources in their work.
- Managing issues and risks affecting the project/team.
- Maintain and encourage a positive relationship between all team members.
Key Requirements/Skills required for this role:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Learning ability, including integrating information and the ability to judge and to evaluate.
- The capacity to connect, including working together or teamwork, presentations
- skills, networking skills and empathy.
- The capacity to structure, including planning, organising and simplifying information.
- Sound grasp of the fundamentals of taxation, from registration through to returns filing and payment options.
- Requirements / Business Analysis skills to allow effective communication with the business and ensure smooth translation from business requirement to technical requirement.
- Experience working on engagements with technologies and architectures similar to Revenue’s.
- Knowledge/experience of delivery methodologies, application development lifecycle and delivery models particularly Agile methodology and its associated processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor, coach and support more junior personnel in the role.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid Methodologies.
- Desirable to also have change management experience on large scale transformational projects.
