We are currently seeking experienced Azure Data Engineers to join a Consulting client of ours on a remote basis. This exciting opportunity will involve helping a Swiss Consultancy deliver on exciting Data Engineering and Data Platform projects across Databricks, Fabric and other exciting new tools.

The role requires English language skills, and candidates to be based in Eastern Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Build and optimise data lakes and data warehouses on Azure.
  • Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
  • Ensure high data quality, security, and governance in line with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with solution architects to design cloud-native data solutions.
  • Support migration of on-premise data systems to Azure cloud environments.
  • Work closely with analytics and BI teams to enable reporting and machine learning use cases.
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft Azure ecosystem advancements and recommend best practices to clients.
 
Desirable Requirements:
 
  • Strong background in Azure Data Engineering
  • Experience with Azure-related tools is important (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Devops etc.)
  • Fabric experience would be a plus but not required
  • Experience working on fast-paced projects in a consulting environment would be a plus
  • Experience working in financial services would be a plus
 
The role offers the flexibility of a remote work arrangement and is a 6 month contract with possibility of extension.
