Application Analyst (Core Banking)

The role You’ll act as the technical and functional bridge between business users and engineering teams, taking ownership of core banking applications and data. This is a hands-on, visible position with real responsibility from day one.
You’ll be the single point of contact (SPOC) for business stakeholders and play a key role in shaping how core banking systems evolve.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing and maintaining core banking data (Olympic)
  • Writing and analysing SQL queries to support business and technical needs
  • Performing business analysis in close collaboration with internal experts
  • Translating requirements into technical configurations and solutions
  • Owning application management (control parameters, reporting, configuration)
  • Supporting release management, including testing and coordination with developers
  • Acting as SPOC for all applications owned by the Application Engineering team
What we’re looking for
  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Banking IT, or similar
  • 5 years’ experience in the banking sector
  • Strong understanding of core banking systems (any platform)
  • Hands-on experience with databases & SQL
  • Experience with requirements engineering (IREB a plus)
  • Fluent / professional German (essential)
  • Good English communication skills
  • A low-ego, collaborative mindset - team fit is critical
Experience with Olympic core banking (by Temenos) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
