This is an exciting opportunity for a Cloud-savvy Technical Engineer or Data Scientist to contribute to a business-critical “Verification of Payee” project that must be delivered by September 2025 in line with European Payments Council requirements.We’re looking for someone with hands-on engineering expertise and a pragmatic mindset to support both the build of a greenfield API-based verification service and provide wider technical guidance within the team.Key Skills & Experience:Solid hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Strong skills in TerraformProficient in Python; SQL is a plusComfortable working across both engineering and regulatory contexts (e.g., data protection, documentation, IT compliance)Familiar with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)Exposure to agile delivery / Scrum methodologiesThe Role:Design and support development of a GCP-hosted, API-driven verification serviceCollaborate closely with experienced developers and product expertsSupport broader team initiatives as a technical business expert — including documentation, regulatory integrity of IT operations, and stakeholder presentationsEngage in tasks that straddle business and technical domains, including customer data systemsThe Environment:You’ll be joining a high-performing, collaborative team with a strong sense of ownership.
