Senior Engineer 📍 Galway (Hybrid – 1 week/month onsite) 📅 12-month contract 💶 Up to €475/dayAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications and automation tooling. You will integrate security scanning, testing, and monitoring into CI/CD pipelines, enabling developers to release high-quality applications with confidence. You will work in a highly collaborative, agile environment, helping to establish best practices for secure development while contributing to the growth of a new squad. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and security tools.Build scalable applications on Kubernetes or similar platforms.Integrate security scanning and testing tools into developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines.Implement automation for testing and deployment, improving release velocity and system reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish engineering best practices and ensure platform security.Required Experience & Skills5 years designing and developing enterprise-standard applications using Python, Go.Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring, Apache Commons, Angular.Experience with build and pipeline tools: Maven, Git, Jenkins, AWS CFT/CDK.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.Experience in cloud environments, AWS certification preferred.Familiarity with application security concepts: Pen Testing, SCA, SAST, DAST, WAF is a plus.Strong experience with unit and functional testing tools: JUnit, PyUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Karate, Cypress, or similar.Hands-on expertise in automation and CI/CD pipeline implementation.This is a high-impact role with autonomy to influence architecture, tooling, and processes from day one.
