UX Researcher - Hiring ASAP - REMOTE

Start date: ASAP
Duration: 9-month contract
Location: Remote
Rate: £327-£430 per day
Engagement: PAYE via Trust in SODA


Role Responsibilities

  • This role is pivotal in finding what the current product is struggling with and where the client needs to improve and help prioritize that feature. A lot of the other teams also depend on the research they do.
  • To see where the pain points were and where the friction is in the main product.
  • Working with the PMM (product marketing managers) team to look at resellers and their go to market strategy.
  • Could also work on Quest for business content strategy.
  • Meeting with other experienced researchers in this space based in the US, talking to PMM and sales on the feedback they are receiving from customers.
  • Talking to PM on different team to gather questions and then creating discussion guides, doing the research and then work through next steps - where they take that program.
  • Resellers program: new program so they will have to scope out what this looks like, talk to PM's and PMM's and create a roadmap.
  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics.
  • Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products.
  • Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods.
  • Design studies that address both user behaviour and attitudes
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholders.
  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing.
  • Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs

Key Skills

  • Experience on competitor products like Abor X. Someone who has worked in the enterprise space, SAS, B2B, has a good understanding of what the business needs and what the user needs.
  • 1st hand researching experience.
  • Creating discussion guides
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research and/or product research.
  • Relevant experience within user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development.
  • Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing
  • Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research.
  • Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.
