Summary
With our clients' ever evolving product experiences, they're looking for an experienced production designer to maintain easy-to-use and up-to-date design files and component libraries to accelerate the execution of their product teams.

By working closely with the product design team you'll be responsible for establishing their design library management system in Figma - you'll be responsible for creating, updating and evolving their design library across surfaces to ensure a comprehensive design system coverage.

Key Skills

  • Experience building interfaces in Figma using reusable patterns and components from a design system.
  • Experience in establishing design system libraries 0-1 and optimizing them for ease-of-use and maintenance.
  • You must be confident using components, 'Auto-Layout, Variants, Variables and Interactive Components.'
  • Be someone that uses 'auto-layout' instead of 'groups' in Figma.
  • Be someone that 'creates components' rather than 'detaches components' in Figma.
  • Have a systems-thinking mindset, high attention to detail and a keen interest in design-systems.
  • Understanding of Figma's shared libraries features and enabling shared components for use across a team.
  • Keen eye for visual design with an ability to ensure built Ul surfaces adhere to expected design quality.
  • A basic understanding of development practices, how things get built and translated into code (no coding is required in this role, but this is important when communicating with engineers).
  • Knowledge of Android, iOS, Web and VR Operating systems/design patterns and conventions is a plus."

Responsibilities

  • Build component and full-page UI templates that accurately reflect the product experience on 2D and VR surfaces.
  • Deliver and evolve robust design system libraries utilizing Figma best practices and leveraging the latest features such as variables and modes.
  • Track progress of surfaces that you build into template repositories and work with the team to ensure productivity gaps are closed efficiently.
  • Be a guardian for design standards, actively documenting scope for improvement in quality of Ul and build of Figma files.
  • Work closely with other Product Designers to understand their needs, seek feedback, and use that to update and improve the system and tools we provide to them.
