Job description

The primary responsibility of this role is to source and sign new retailers onto our digital eCommerce marketplace, while also upselling our Point-of-Sale (POS) solution. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating sales manuals and protocols to streamline the sales process and ensure consistency across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retailer Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and engage potential retail partners to join the Our Client digital eCommerce marketplace
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with retailers, presenting compelling value propositions and securing favourable partnership agreements.
  • POS Solution Upselling: Educate retailers on the benefits of our POS solution and effectively upsell it as an additional service.
  • Sales Manual Development: Create comprehensive sales manuals and protocols to guide the sales team in their interactions with retailers and ensure consistency in messaging and approach.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to the sales team on effective selling techniques, product knowledge, and objection handling.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with retailers, serving as the primary point of contact for their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support, to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities for growth.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and refine sales strategies, processes, and tools to optimize effectiveness and drive results.
  • Retail Partner Ecosystem Development: Develop and manage a robust ecosystem for retail partners, offering tools, resources, and services designed to help them succeed on the Our Client platform.
  • Digital Transformation Guidance: Provide guidance and support to retail partners undergoing digital transformation, helping them to leverage digital tools and eCommerce strategies effectively.
  • Retail Innovation Initiatives: Lead initiatives to introduce innovative retail concepts and technologies to partners, ensuring that Our Client remains at the forefront of retail innovation.
  • Retail Analytics and Insights: Offer analytics and insights services to retail partners, helping them to understand market trends, consumer behaviour, and the performance of their products on the platform.
  • Sustainability and Ethical Practices: Encourage and support retail partners in adopting sustainable and ethical business practices, aligning with consumer expectations and enhancing brand reputation.
  • Retailer Success Teams: Establish dedicated retailer success teams to provide ongoing support, advice, and strategic planning assistance to retail partners.
  • Community Building and Networking: Facilitate the building of a community among retail partners, enabling networking, collaboration, and shared learning opportunities.
  • Blockchain-Based Loyalty Programs: Innovate by integrating blockchain technology to develop secure, transparent, and customizable loyalty programs for retail partners, revolutionizing customer loyalty.
  • AI-Powered Retail Insights: Research AI-powered tools to provide retail partners with predictive insights about consumer trends, inventory management, and personalized marketing, setting a new standard in data-driven retailing.
  • Cross-Platform Omnichannel Solutions: Develop and offer cross-platform omnichannel solutions that allow retail partners to seamlessly integrate their physical and digital sales channels, enhancing customer experience and sales efficiency.
  • Global Retail Expansion Services: Provide services and support for retail partners looking to expand globally, including market research, localization strategies, and compliance guidance.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in retail sales, business development, or partnership management, preferably within the eCommerce or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of retail industry dynamics, eCommerce trends, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience in developing sales materials, such as sales manuals, presentations, and proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform sales strategies and decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and adapt to changing priorities.
