Data Engineer (MI Reporting)

We've just had a new role go live with a long term client of mine in the insurance space. They're a thriving local business who are searching for a Data engineer to join their analytics team. The team expanded last year but after signing off a number of new projects they're adding another member to understand the business needs and transform them into reporting requirements.

The successful person will work as part of the data team and engage with business data and business management users to understand their reporting needs. You'll also play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the reporting/visualisation layer as well as delivering daily data services.

Technical Requirements:

• 2-3 years hands-on experience in a data engineering/MI Reporting role
• Strong experience with SSIS
• Experience with various tools across the Azure stack (Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Event Hubs etc)
• Good experience with BI Reporting tools (Tableau or PowerBI)
• TSQL experience
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment would be a plus
