Job Title: Test / Verification Engineer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Wiltshire - 5 days a week onsite
Rate: £450PD - Inside IR35
Engagement Method: Umbrella

My client is a highly successful and iconic creative technology and manufacturing company, that create exciting and innovative inventions and tech.
They need Test Engineers to work on a variety of electronics such as motor, battery, digital and sensing technologies, and electro-mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Test and Motor Drive Engineers, you will follow existing (and create your own) Test Methods for DDM system characterisation.
- As directed, complete analysis of test data from motor and product verification to identify issues, non-compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate high-quality test reports with all data and findings from all work undertaken.
- Liaise with the motor drives, control, and software engineers to create electronics test rig set ups with a focus on automated testing.
- Identification of issues and repair of commonly used electronics prototypes for testing.
- Assist other engineers within the team with the creation and review of documents such as design schematics, design notes, FMEA, Failure analysis reports, technical review documents and part approval to ensure the lessons learned from tests are captured.
- Be familiar with the use of Test Stand to develop client sequences for the automation of verification scripts.
These are the essential skills we need you to have
- Experience in a range of aspects of electronics test including some of power electronics, motor control, battery management, analogue, digital and sensing technologies.
- Some experience in fault finding electro-mechanical systems, repairing them, and suggesting improvements.
- Comfortable in a laboratory environment with experience using power sources, oscilloscopes and soldering equipment and taking precise measurements.
- Be able to demonstrate sound theoretical knowledge, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in engineering.
- Be able to clearly report progress and results, in-person as well as with producing a high standard of written documentation.
