Storage Data - Object Storage

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 9 months

Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in Sheffield

Rate: £400 per day (inside IR35)

Responsibilities

  • Build of enterprise class storage products, development code, DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines to the design
  • Build of automation in support of re-certification, upgrade, Evergreen and production support functions, build automation interfaces between systems and confirm api's integrate
  • Configure, Administer, maintain and supports, storage arrays for customers; involves hands-on management of Object storage devices.
  • Documentation of engineering standards, best practices, relevant for production build and support teams to allow for rapid adoption
  • Testing, certification and validation of storage products and services, ensure smooth handover of engineered storage products to the production build, deployment and support teams, with supporting documentation to ensure smooth, efficient global adoption.
  • Analyzes storage system behavior and baselines, resolve complex IO problems, recommends storage system layouts according to data usage and criticality.
  • Management of all aspects of risks and financial controls to ensure products are engineered within agreed timescales, on quality and on budget
  • Documentation of engineering standards, best practices, relevant for production build and support teams to allow for rapid adoption

Requirements

  • Implementation and administration of DELL EMC ECS or similar Object storages.
  • Hands-on experience on Storage Monitoring Accountabilities, Alerts & Notification
  • Hands-on experience on CLI of Storages.
  • Strong Knowledge of Storage reporting, Performance analysis factors of Storage Arrays
  • Resolving complicated Hardware cases and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/support & escalate severity issues
  • Follow ITIL practices
  • Identify potential solution(s) to issue and determine any risk.
