Software Engineer

Start Date: End July 2023 - Negotiable

Contract Length: 6 Months + Extension

Location: The Hague, NL. 2-3 days on-site // 2-3 days remote

Pay: 75-100 € per hour - Negotiable

Hours: 40h / week

Languages: English ONLY

I am working with a leading Oil & Gas that is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help the business design and create software engineering solutions withing their data management space.

Ideally, we are looking for someone that would be able to start this project by the end of July 2023, however, we can accommodate a reasonable notice period.

The role helps create data-driven thinking within the organization, not just within IT teams, but also in the wider Business stakeholder community.

Requirements

* Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, computer science, data management, or a related discipline.

* 4+ years' of corporate IT experience with data platforms; working with large data sets, large amounts of data in motion and numerous big data technologies.

* C# design and coding skills.

* Experience and understanding of Trading and Supply (commodity) businesses

* Experience and strong understanding of general development platforms (including but not limited to MS.Net, HTML5)

* Experience and knowledge of auto software deployment technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Git)

* Experience with Cloud-based software, specifically Microsoft Azure (including but not limited to Databricks, Azure Foundations)

* Experience with data Architecture and design techniques (local/abstract) including Azure API techniques/developments

* Experience of Agile Project Delivery techniques (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).

* Awareness of data pipelining-based technologies (e.g. KAFKA, StreamSets)

* Have good interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Comfortable in communicating with business colleagues and working in cross functional global teams

* Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and balancing multiple priorities.

* Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
