SAP ABAP Developer

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 12 Months

Trust in SODA is partnered with a leading FS client committed to delivering innovative solutions. We are seeking a talented SAP ABAP Developer to join their dynamic team and contribute to our success.

Job Summary:

The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom SAP ABAP programs and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP modules, ABAP programming, and best practices in software development. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversions (RICEF).

- Develop custom SAP applications and perform unit testing.

- Integrate SAP modules with other applications and systems.

- Implement BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots.

- Ensure seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems.

- Optimize existing ABAP programs for performance improvements.

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in ABAP code.

- Provide ongoing support for existing SAP applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Perform root cause analysis for reported issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO, HR).

- Proficiency in ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming.

- Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP Fiori is a plus.

- Knowledge of SAP enhancement frameworks (BADI, User Exits, Enhancement Spots).

- Familiarity with SAP workflow, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and development.

- Knowledge of web services and APIs.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- SAP certification in ABAP or related modules.
