Lead Staff Software Engineer - Application Security

Trust in SODA have teamed up with a national market leader in Entertainment and Ecommerce, to find an Engineering Leader within Applications Security, to lead and cultivate a world-class team of security software engineers, securing applications within cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

• Building, communicating and delivering on a road map for the AppSec team based on business critical priorities.
• Responding to security incidents to resolution, quickly and efficiently.
• Setting up tooling & automation around AppSec best practices.
• Providing cross functional support across the engineering organization related to Application Security and mentoring less experienced team members.

We would like to see someone who:

• Has strong technical engineering background familiar with programming with languages such as Java, C++, JavaScript & HTML.
• Is experienced in setting best practices for risk focused, scalable security approaches.
• Prefers collaboration and troubleshooting over process/mandates.
• Has a strong understanding of hiring, coaching and cultivating an excellent team.

Base annual salary range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 per year, dependent on candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.
