Java Developer

My global consultancy client is currently in the market for a Java Developer, for a 12 - Month INITIAL Contract, based in Trondheim.

About the role:

You will work in a cross-functional team consisting of team leader, functional architect, designers, tech lead, developers and testers. The team uses agile development methodology (Kanban) and modern tools (Git, Intellij, Maven, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence). Typical tasks will be integration development, testing APIs against external parties, assistance with technical architecture and problem solving in technical infrastructure.

Technical Experience:

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring
• Experience with integrations (development of APIs, REST, SOAP, etc.)
• Good understanding of infrastructure such as network, security, scripting and CICD (Jenkins, GitHub actions or similar)
• Experience with cloud solutions (e.g. OpenShift, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Good problem-solving skills to find bugs in the application, the APIs, technical infrastructure and test/production environments
• Experience with technical testing of APIs and test tools such as Postman
