Start: ASAP
Length: 6 months
Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands - 2-3 days a week
Rate: €66 - 73 p/hour

Trust in Soda are partnered with a well-known successful consultancy, to find a Data Business Analyst for their client in the Automotive sector.
As Business Analyst for Measurement Data Management (MDM) you will ensure that various sets of vehicle usage data are collected from the vehicles remotely 'over the air' in a backend IoT application, from where the data will be distributed to consuming applications for a vast range of business services and business purposes. In order manage the Measurement Data you will be configuring how the data is collected from the vehicle CAN bus and by a telematics connectivity device (TCU) sent to the backend.

The MDM Business Analyst will work in the 'Measurement Data Management Team' (MDM team) of the Global Connected Services department. This team follows the scrum framework and works in 2-week sprints delivering measurement configurations that have been designed, developed and tested according to requirements. The MDM team also defined and documented their business processes and Way of Working, ensuring that all designs and data configurations are dealt with and documented properly, as well as possible encountered defects and incidents will be dealt with efficiently and effectively.

Experience and knowledge:

  • General ICE and BEV automotive knowledge and basic understanding of functional vehicle behaviour
  • Working knowledge of CAN networks, e.g. Dbc-files, can-interfaces, wiring harnesses, hex and binary calculations
  • Understanding of SAE J1939 and FMS standards
  • General understanding of data streaming
  • Knowledge of high-frequency data transmission concepts such as rabbitmq, Confluent, Apache Kafka
  • Experience in Agile environments and working in scrum teams
  • Experience in validating incomplete/undocumented software applications
  • Preferred: experience with validating/testing (the working of) embedded software, and experience with data analysis/validation (validation of large amounts of data)
