Cyber Security Consultant - Switzerland Based

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months

Location / Remote Working: Basel / Fully Remote - Switzerland

Pay Rate: 700 - 850 CHF per Day (Flexible)

Trust in Soda has formed a strategic partnership with a renowned global consultancy business. They are actively seeking an accomplished Cyber Security Consultant to evaluate their clients cybersecurity measures, identifying vulnerabilities, and designing and implementing solutions to protect their clients organisation from threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the current security posture to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement robust security solutions and policies.
  • Provide strategic advice on protecting sensitive data and securing network infrastructures.
  • Lead cybersecurity training sessions for staff to enhance security awareness.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and cyber threats.
  • Prepare clear and concise security status reports.
  • Respond to and recover from security breaches and incidents.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to implement security practices and solutions.
  • Assist in the development and planning of security systems by recommending security enhancements.
  • Liaise with vendors to secure applications and devices.

Essential Skill Set:

  • Must be based in Switzerland
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • German and English Speaking
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, web proxies, antivirus, and ID management.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations and frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, GDPR, and NIST.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues and risks while ensuring comprehensive understanding by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and administering an incident response program.
  • Proficient in risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
