CMBD Technical Consultant

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 Months + Extension

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Working Pattern: 2 days onsite

Rate: 125 CHF Per Hour

Client Overview:

Our client, one of the largest and most well-known retail companies, is currently seeking a highly skilled CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Technical Consultant to join their team for an initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This role is critical in supporting their IT Service Management (ITSM) initiatives and ensuring the efficient management of their IT infrastructure.

Role Summary:

As a CMDB Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform. Your expertise will ensure accurate representation of the IT environment, enabling effective decision-making and risk management for IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage the CMDB within the ServiceNow platform to ensure accurate and complete representation of the IT infrastructure and its components.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to collect, analyse, and manage IT asset data, ensuring alignment with ITSM processes.
  • Implement and maintain data quality and integrity within the CMDB, including regular audits and validation processes.
  • Facilitate integration of the CMDB with other ITSM processes, such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Request Management.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the IT team on best practices for CMDB management.
  • Develop and deliver training to IT staff on CMDB processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in CMDB and ITSM, within a ServiceNow environment.
  • Proven expertise in Request Management and IT Service Management principles.
  • Strong technical proficiency, with a focus on ServiceNow platform capabilities related to CMDB.
  • Fluent in German; strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist) are highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
