About the client:

We are a leading Housing Finance business based in London, dedicated to providing financial solutions in the housing sector. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth while developing your expertise in the Finance industry.

Role Overview:

As a Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our IT Director to drive initiatives that enhance our business and IT operations, aligning them with our broader business strategy. Your responsibilities will include managing cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures, and improving service delivery in collaboration with managed service providers (MSP) and managed security service providers (MSSP).

Role Objectives:

  • Streamlined approach to infrastructure and systems management
  • Reduction in time to remediate PEN test recommendations
  • Improvement in service delivery, incident & problem management
  • Knowledge sharing and skills development within the team
  • Establishment of IT documentation/policies and quality of management information

  • Establishing positive working relationships with stakeholders and 3rd parties
  • Providing technical expertise on key business projects

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Significant hands-on experience in a modern cloud-based environment
  • Expertise in cyber and information security
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, WVD/AVD, and Intune infrastructure
  • Experience in incident and problem management
  • Ability to mentor and train team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
