I am currently collaborating with a prominent pharmaceutical company that is actively seeking a Citrix Architect in Switzerland.
They are also looking for a Citrix Specialist Engineer, so please apply and we will share the JD for that role.
Ideally, we are looking for an individual who can initiate this project as soon as possible, although we can certainly accommodate a reasonable notice period.
CITRIX Architect
The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix solutions within the organization. The role will involve understanding business requirements, evaluating current infrastructure, and designing Citrix solutions to optimize performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with various teams including infrastructure, networking, and security to ensure seamless integration and operation of Citrix technologies. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to troubleshoot and resolve complex Citrix-related issues. The role holder interacts with multicultural internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design: Design Citrix solutions based on business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Implementation: Implement and configure Citrix technologies such as XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, and NetScaler/ADC according to design specifications.
Integration: Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to integrate Citrix solutions with existing systems and technologies.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Citrix infrastructure to enhance user experience and efficiency.
Security: Implement security best practices and policies to protect Citrix environments from vulnerabilities and threats.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor Citrix environments, perform regular maintenance tasks, and apply patches and updates as necessary.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation including design documents, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
Training and Support: Provide technical guidance, training, and support to IT teams and end-users on Citrix technologies and best practices.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex Citrix-related issues, working closely with vendors and support teams when necessary.
Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure Citrix environments meet current and future demand.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated of emerging Citrix technologies and industry trends, and recommend enhancements to existing Citrix environments.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, and NetScaler/ADC.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Experience designing and implementing Citrix solutions in enterprise environments.
Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SSL.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V) are highly desirable.
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience with Citrix On Premise, Citrix Cloud services and hybrid cloud deployments.
Familiarity with ITIL and GMP.
