Interim Operations and Process Lead – Source to Pay

Location: Hybrid in Manchester (2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Duration: Until December 2025

Rate: up to £350 per day PAYE 


Job Description Summary: The Interim Operations and Process Lead – Source to Pay will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Head of Source to Pay (S2P) and the S2P Operational Excellence Team. This position focuses on a variety of responsibilities, including the design and deployment of processes, continuous improvement initiatives, operational support, and project support within the Source to Pay process area. Additionally, this role will support the leadership of the function’s Operations and Service Management.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational and Service Management Support: Assist the Global Head of S2P in ensuring high-quality service delivery across shared service centers and country finance operations. Help meet KPIs sustainably.
  • Global Vision and Strategy: Support the development and execution of the global vision, roadmap, and objectives for the end-to-end Source to Pay process and related technologies.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent to ensure seamless and sustainable process changes across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, aligning process strategy and driving change and user adoption of standard processes and technologies. Conduct regular reviews and provide training to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data to monitor and solve issues, escalating when necessary. Identify opportunities for process re-engineering and drive high-quality service delivery from the Shared Services Center(s).
  • Project Support: Take full ownership of project support in the Source to Pay area, ensuring the successful delivery of process and system changes.
  • Leadership & Best Practices: Lead by example with visible hands-on leadership. Foster a culture of best practice sharing and continuous improvement.

Certifications:
  • Preferred: Project Management Qualification (PMP or Prince2)
  • Preferred: CPA/CIMA

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Global Business Services (GBSO) and Source to Pay processes.
  • Proven experience in Service Management and Project Management.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles, process changes, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of GBSO workstreams and finance processes.
  • Strong expertise in service management and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to design and conduct presentations and training.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, root cause identification, and decision-making.
  • Strong analytic capabilities with a hands-on, self-starter approach.
  • Positive attitude with a strong service orientation and the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience in process design, change management, and system implementation.
