Key Skills
- The product is being developed with the Royal Navy Design system. This has a designer toolkit based around Axure RP. Prior knowledge of this tool, or the ability to rapidly learn how to use it is essential (the learning curve for Axure is quite steep).
- You will need to work with software engineers and other team members to understand the limitations and opportunities around what can be built. The design cannot purely be based around user needs: technical and security requirements will play a significant part in the design.
- Ability to closely collaborate with User Researchers
- You will need to work closely with the BA and Solution Architect to understand the technical aspects of the project, and the impact they will have on design.
- Ability to flex. Appropriate use of low-fidelity designs and high-fidelity prototypes according to the project stage / need i.e. it might not be appropriate to build highly detailed prototypes during the initial concept development.
- Willingness to listen to and act on feedback.
