We are currently seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a leading Pharmaceutical client of ours based in Basel. This exciting opportunity will involve working on a significant digital transformation, where you will be instrumental in driving a data-driven approach into different pillars of the business, including but not limited to compliance, manufacturing, business intelligence and research & development.  Our client is looking for a “can do” type of individual, who is able to work independently to solve complex challenges without direct supervision. The role will require someone who can build the foundations of a data strategy across the entire business, implementing best practices across data governance and data quality, as well as helping to design the infrastructure the business will be using.

The role requires English language skills, and candidates to be Switzerland based, ideally Basel and surrounding areas as travel is required due to hybrid working conditions, with 3 days expected onsite. 

Key Responsibilities:
 
 
  • Design and implement robust and scalable data architectures that support large volumes of data.
  • Architect data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration of data across multiple platforms.
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards to ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with the organization’s strategic goals, including R&D, clinical trials, supply chain, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop data models that efficiently support the business requirements
Desirable Requirements:
 
  • 4+ years experience in data architecture
  • Strong experience with Data Warehousing and Data Modeling
  • Experience with ETL
  • Experience with cloud providers is a plus (Azure is preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
 
The role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement and is a long-term contract position.
