My global consultancy client is looking for a Vectra Security Engineer for a 5 - Month Contract based in Knutsford on a flexible, hybrid working model (2 days on site).

Role Description:

• Experience and familiarity with Installing/deploying system software and agents that monitor systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
• Be familiar with Vectra, NDR/TDR Network and Threat Detection and Response systems and other network appliance-based security solutions.
• Understanding of the attack types and detection methods to collaborate with Cyber Operations team on best practice detection configuration setup.
• Strong knowledge of security and network architectures in relation to deploying security systems in an Enterprise network environment, so an understanding of Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies, and the requirements for configuring the traversal of traffic through these appliances and security systems.
• Knowledge and experience working with other tech teams to integrate system feeds/logs through to SIEM platforms.
• Documentation skills to provide high quality documentation for internal customers and technical support teams.
• Openness to learning and managing additional Information Security technologies as business requirements change.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, AWS, Azure and SaaS based security solutions.
• Basic/Intermediate level of scripting/coding ability e.g., python, PowerShell, etc.
• Experience working with and supporting Linux/Unix and windows server platforms.
