Technical Writer – 3-Month Contract (January-March)Location: Remote or Bay Area, CA
Duration: 3 Months (Full-Time Contract)

About the RoleWe are seeking a Technical Writer to join a cutting-edge technology company working on advanced computing solutions. In this role, you will focus on creating, curating, and maintaining software development documentation to support upcoming software releases in early 2024. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering, machine learning, or scientific technology with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly manuals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and Maintain Software Documentation: Develop comprehensive manuals, API guides, and user-facing documentation to support software release processes.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and technical leads to ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Release-Focused Content: Prepare release notes, integration guides, and other technical materials in preparation for major software rollouts in January and February 2024.
  • Curate and Improve Documentation Processes: Establish templates and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability across all technical content.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Writing Experience: Proven ability to document complex software systems, particularly in software development, cloud platforms, or machine learning environments.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with software development practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and documentation tools like Confluence or Markdown. Experience with quantum computing or scientific domains is a plus.
  • Collaborative Skills: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary team environment with developers, engineers, and researchers.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong command of technical writing with a focus on clarity, organization, and detail.
