SQL Database Developer - OUTSIDE IR35 - HIRING ASAP - SC Clearance
Location: Remote working with 2 days per month in Portsmouth office
Duration: 3 months initially with a view to extend
Day Rate: £480 per day

In this role, you'll be responsible for the development/design and build of a database for complex, large acoustic data. You will be the first respondent to database problems that arise and carry out periodic maintenance and troubleshooting. You should be an excellent problem-solver and communicator that is fluent in most data manipulation languages. Possess extensive knowledge of databases, their development/design, administration and display sound technical skills and administrative aptitude.
Responsibilities
Designing databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.
Regularly liaising with Data Architect, Delivery Managers, DevOps engineers
Suggesting changes and improvements for database maintenance or protection.
Monitoring system performance and identifying problems that arise.
Responding in a timely manner to user-reported errors.
Protecting the database against threats or unauthorised access.
Ensuring that the database is adequately backed up and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss.
Reporting on metrics regarding usage and performance.
Key Skills
Proficiency in RDMS as SQL Server, PostgresSQL, and Hadoop ecosystem.
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database schema, language, scalability, and structure.
Possess investigative and exploratory skills to break open large, archived datasets that are poorly documented, write suitable schemas and explanatory documents and create big data access pipelines
Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organised and responsible.
Capable of working under pressure.
Up-to-date with trends and developments in database administration.
Experience of integrating with PAM solution (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Tychotic)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience of working within a global distributed programme and global teams
