Trust in Soda is partnering with a prestigious organisation in the technology sector to bring on board a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This role is central to enhancing the reliability and scalability of our client's digital services, employing innovative cloud technologies and robust DevOps methodologies. The position is ideal for someone eager to contribute to a diverse team, ensuring the seamless performance of complex systems.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions, primarily on cloud platforms.
- Collaborating with software development teams to integrate SRE practices into the software lifecycle.
- Managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost.
- Developing and maintaining continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Monitoring system performance, responding to incidents, and ensuring optimal uptime.
- Participating in on-call rotations and conducting post-mortem analysis for system outages.
Essential Skill Set:
- Minimum of 5 year's experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or similar role in a large-scale environment.
- Strong background in managing cloud environments, particularly with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform or similar tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and automation of deployment processes.
- Understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system optimisation.
