Trust in SODA are working with a multinational automobile manufacturer, the client is looking for an experience Java/Platform Engineer to join them on an initial 12-month contract with the view of longevity.

This role is for a Senior Platform engineer within the Enterprise Connectivity team. The engineer will work with experienced team members, using a user centric design approach to bring new products and features to market in the connected consumer, connected vehicle and mobility space.

Skills Required:
Extensive software development experience in one or more JVM languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Groovy) across multiple projects - Spring and Spring Boot Framework experience
Experience in designing and developing REST APIs using Ford standard tools such as swagger, Apigee and 42Crunch Proven track record of delivery as a software engineer
Ability to tackle complex software engineering problems
A commitment to life-long learning, with evidence of continued effort towards this
5 Years+ Java Software Engineering experience
History of developing self and others, particularly with respect to software engineering skills
Passion for Software Craftsmanship, and experience working in a pair programming environment Strong all-round communication skills (written / presentation, one-to-one / group)
Ability to take the initiative and operate with autonomy to prioritise work
Knowledge of architectural and security standards

Skills Preferred:
DevOps experience, as part of the role typically involves CI/CD pipeline maintenance
Experience of GCP
Collaborative with a passion for building inclusive team cultures
Proactive with the ability to flourish independently and work in shades of grey
Flexibility when working with complex projects including multi-tasking

Experience Preferred:
Experience with Software Development tools (Backlog Management (Pivotal Tracker), Source Code Management (GIT), CI/CD (Jenkins)
