Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

I'm working with a Climate Tech start-up in the heart of Berlin that is dedicated to finding innovative solutions to address the global climate crisis through 3 core pillars: Sustainability, Regulation and Finance.
Due to growth, they are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join them early on in their journey, and in return, you will be rewarded with equity, career progression and a company to be proud of making a positive impact in the world.

What will you be doing:
You will be working in a greenfield project working in a close team of roughly 8 people. In this role you can expect to be implementing APIs, getting feature rewuirements and working on the Architecture.
The tech stack you will be exposed to is Python, Fast API, JavaScript, and NodeJS (only Python skills is a must with a framework). On top of this you will be helping with the cloud architecture/infrastructure side.

Key Requirements

• Expert working with Python
• Strong communicator

Nice to Haves:

• JavaScript and NodeJS (GraphQL) experience will be useful
• DevOps/Cloud Infra experience (preferably GCP)
• Worked with Even-driven systems//architecture like Google Pub/Sub or Kafka
• Someone who has built similar system before or system within Climate Tech
• Understanding or exposure to ML/deploying ML
