Scale Developer

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months - view to extend

Location: Hybrid / London

Rate: £608 PD

Engagement Method: Inside IR35

I have a vacancy for a Scala Developer to work for a Tier 1 Financial Services client. This role will be to support the development and evolution of a cutting-edge and complex critical distributed systems within their big data mesh eco-system

You must have excellent, in-depth core Scala development skills first and foremost (regardless of your industry domain).

Must have experience of:

• Developing complex distributed Scala-based applications (core Scala)
• Data structures and algorithms
• SBT build framework
• Automated testing using the ScalaTest framework
• Developing on Azure Cloud
• CI/CD on Azure using GitLab repository (preferred, but not a deal breaker)
• SQL databases

Nice to have:

• Java, including Spring
• Spark
• Databricks
• Azure Data Factory - ADLS2
• Experience of another cloud platform i.e., AWS, GCP
• Financial Services experience (e.g., IB, Treasury, Finance, Risk)
