Pay: CHF 85 Hour - CHF 115 Hour - Negotiable
Hours: 41H per week
Languages: English ONLY is okay, German is a big bonus
I am currently collaborating with a prominent pharmaceutical company that is actively seeking a Project Procurement Lead to lead their procurement operations in Switzerland.
Ideally, we are looking for an individual who can initiate this project by January 2024, although we can certainly accommodate a reasonable notice period.
Position Overview
The Project Procurement Lead oversees procurement operations for designated investment projects, orchestrating their planning and execution primarily at the Visp site, with potential involvement in other Swiss locations. This pivotal role holds strategic responsibility for procuring materials for construction in manufacturing, laboratory, and office projects ranging from 5 to 500 million.
Primary Responsibilities
Formulating the Procurement Execution Strategy and orchestrating procurement activities for assigned investment projects.
Taking comprehensive commercial ownership of procurement processes, including expediting, contract management, and contract closure for various goods and services, spanning from process equipment to consulting services and more.
Actively managing the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely reporting and the identification and mitigation of potential risks.
Collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders, including project procurement teams, company's procurement and category management, project directors, engineers, and support functions like Quality, Legal, Finance, and others, along with crucial third-party collaborators.
Key Requirements
A minimum of 10 years' experience in Capex project and procurement management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
Expertise in plant construction, procurement, sales, and contract management, with language proficiency in English (required) and a preference for German (not required)
A team-oriented mindset, and adeptness at working in matrix organizations and multidisciplinary teams.
Exceptional business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and resilient nature, thriving in dynamic and ever-evolving work environments.
Technical training in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering would be advantageous.
