Rate: €550 - 650 p/d
Location: 2 Days in Brussels and 3 Days Remote
Essential Languages: English with French OR Dutch
Our client sits within the Investment/Financial space.
As a Network Solutions Architect you will join the infrastructure department and work together with a team of 7 colleagues solution architects. As a member of this Solution architecture team, together with Infrastructure Services, Security and the Enterprise Architect, you will design the infrastructure architecture of the future.
Responsibility/responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development and integration of ICT systems in line with the Enterprise Architecture
- Executing complex projects by studying and understanding the needs of our customers, identifying (possible) gaps between these needs and the technical execution, and defining solutions to bridge these gaps
- Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals for projects that require external input to ensure quality solutions are delivered at the lowest possible cost
- Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT employees
- In consultation with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure product owners and SARs, SDM's & purchasing department deliver the Infrastructure roadmaps
- Mapping the project dependencies, and deciding what/when to deliver in which project
- Upstream Work (preparation):
- Working closely with ICT Infrastructure Services customers to understand business needs to meet IT needs
- Development of the various alternative solutions in close collaboration with the domain architect, security officers and the infrastructure teams
- Collecting the advantages, disadvantages and other comments from the various stakeholders
- Use techniques such as impact mapping workshop
- Collaborating with other ICT Teams in designing the Solution Architecture
- Making the Architecture Design views (4+1)
- Creating the logical and process view in co-creation with the domain architect and infrastructure services
- Create deployment and physical view in co-creation with infrastructure services
- Identify the existing business risks related to the implementation of the solution and ensure that these risks are mitigated
- Determining which SLA is feasible at what cost
- Implementation:
- Ensure that the views (4+1) remain up-to-date throughout the project, and give an "as built" image at the end of the project
- Adapting the logical and process view in co-creation with the domain architect and infrastructure services
- Customizing the deployment and physical view in co-creation with infrastructure services
- Documenting the DRP plans and the process in co-creation with infrastructure services and the Solution architect of the Agile teams
- Ensure that the designed Solution Architecture is in line with the needs of our customers when implementing the developed solution
- Ensure that the Solution Architecture Design and scope are respected when implementing projects
- Provide advice and technical support to the teams
- Oversee testing of the deployed solution
- Lifecycle:
- Handover of the Views (4+1) and the DRP/DA plans and the process to the product owners in the teams so that they can be kept up-to-date by the product owners throughout the "Lifecycle" of the solution
- Ensure that the views (4+1) remain up-to-date throughout the project, and give an "as built" image at the end of the project
Key Requirements
- We are looking for someone with a number of years of experience as a solution architect with a broad knowledge of the infrastructure landscape and with a very in-depth knowledge of networking.
- The Focus here is:
- Drawing up the Network architecture and the necessary governance and best practices.
- Develop the necessary Networking strategy and roadmaps so that the customer can evolve in a safe way and without loss of stability and continuity.
- The infrastructure management, the domain architects and the infrastructure teams support in the concrete development of these roadmaps.
- Providing recommendations on how platforms should evolve, whether it's cloud, on premise or hybrid.
- Translating functional requirements and business needs into a Network architecture.
- Providing assistance in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
- From Solution architecture take on an advisory role towards optimization & efficiency. This by evolving towards automation, self-services and standard services for our customers.
- We have to work in an agile way in the direction of the vision: regularly delivering results that can be used is important.
- Knowledge of the national languages (NL/FR: speaking and/or understanding) and English
